World-renowned German Skydiver Receives Prosthetic Leg Service from the Prostheses Foundation
On July 15, 2025, Mr. Olav Zipser, a world-famous German skydiver recognized as the “Father of FreeFly Skydiving,” whose achievements are recorded on Wikipedia and whose name has been inducted into the Skydiving Hall of Fame by the International Skydiving Museum & Hall of Fame in the United States, received a prosthetic leg provided under royal patronage from the Prostheses Foundation of H.R.H. the Princess Mother in Chiang Mai, Thailand. . Mr. Zipser shared that three months ago, he underwent an above-knee amputation on his left leg in Rayong Province, Thailand, due to acute arterial occlusion. He is currently residing in Thailand and is determined to return to his active lifestyle as both an athlete and frequent traveler. He stated, “I still aim to return to skydiving, and I believe that the prosthesis I receive from the Foundation will help restore my quality of life.” . He expressed his admiration for the Foundation’s service and high standards in prosthetic manufacturing, as well as the dedication of the medical team and prosthetic technicians who work tirelessly to help people with disabilities regain their quality of life and happiness. . Olav Zipser also mentioned that he feels honored and proud to be among those who have benefited from the kindness and generosity of H.R.H. the Princess Mother through the Prostheses Foundation. He hopes to inspire people with disabilities worldwide to recognize the limitless potential of the human spirit to overcome even the hardest challenges. .
