The Prostheses Foundation Welcomes Prof. Miyashita from Nippon Medical School, Japan

On 11 March 2026, Clinical Professor Niwes  Nantachit, M.D. Secretary-General of the Prostheses Foundation of H.R.H. the Princess Mother, warmly welcomed Prof. Emeritus Masao Miyashita from Nippon Medical School, Japan, during his study visit to the Prostheses Foundation Office in Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai.

Prof. Emeritus Dr. Masao Miyashita of Nippon Medical School, Tokyo, Japan, is widely recognized for his contributions to medical education and healthcare. He has played an important role in fostering academic collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University, and Nippon Medical School, as well as strengthening academic ties between Thailand and Japan. For 60 years, the two institutions have maintained active exchange programs involving students, faculty members, and research teams.

As a dedicated physician and educator, Prof. Miyashita has devoted himself to sharing medical knowledge with students and faculty members. He has an outstanding international record in medical practice and research and has significantly contributed to the long-standing partnership between the two institutions.

In recognition of his distinguished contributions, Chiang Mai University awarded him an Honorary Doctorate Degree during the 60th Royal Commencement Ceremony in January this year. On this occasion, Prof. Miyashita also visited the 30 Anniversary of the Prostheses Foundation Exhibition and observed a prosthesis fabrication demonstration at the Foundation.
