The Prostheses Foundation Hosts 2nd Inter-hospital Prosthetics Conference 2025
On July 2, 2025, the Prostheses Foundation of H.R.H. The Princess Mother organized the 2nd Inter-hospital Prosthetics Conference for the 2025 fiscal year. The event was inaugurated by Clinical Professor Dr. Niwes Nantachit, Secretary-General of the Foundation. Attendees included Lt. Gen. Dr. Thamrongrat Keokarn, Vice Chairman of the Foundation; Associate Professor Dr.Terdchai Jivacate, former Secretary-General; Associate Professor Dr. Vajara Rujiwetpongstorn, board committee member and former Secretary-General; Mr. Pichet Lerdkiatchai, Director of the Industrial Rehabilitation Centre Region 3 and Associate Professor Dr. Jakkrit Klaphajone, Head of the Department of Rehabilitation, Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University. Also present was prosthetic technician, Mr. Axel Hass from Germany. . The conference featured Dr. Al Hafiz Ibrahim from University of Science Malaysia, as well as physicians and resident doctors from the Faculty of Medicine, Padjadjaran University in Indonesia, and resident doctors from Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital, Thailand. Additionally, medical professionals and prosthetists from the Prostheses Foundation presented and exchanged knowledge on various case studies. . The session was moderated by Dr. Piroon Kumoon, Deputy Secretary-General of the Foundation for Academic Affairs and Research. Executives and staff from the Foundation also participated. The conference aimed to enhance academic knowledge and strengthen expertise in prosthetics, addressing the increasing complexity of prosthetic services for amputees. It also supported the development of academic research and services while fostering relationships among hospitals and professionals in the prosthetics field, both domestically and internationally.
