In 2019
The 153rd royal mobile prosthesis unit project was a collaboration between the Prostheses Foundation, the Government Lottery Office and Songkhla province. The royal mobile prosthesis unit was set up to provide prosthetic legs to amputees who live in Songkhla and nearby provinces on the occasion of the royal coronation ceremony and as the royal merit-making on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun. It took place during 21st – 26th July 2019 at the Eldercare Center, Songkhla Provincial Administrative Organization, Muang District, Songkhla. A total of 125 amputees came and a total of 108 prosthetic legs were provided.

In addition to the prosthesis services, the Prostheses Foundation together with Chiang Mai Institute for Skill Development offered Level 1 National Skill Standard test for 18 disability equipment technicians; sixteen of whom passed the test. The Prostheses Foundation also provided a workshop on evaluation and care for amputees with leg prostheses for 45 physicians and physical therapists. Moreover, Songkhla Livestock Office provided a course in egg-laying chicken farming to 19 of the amputees and their family members.
